Alright, I’ll read up on it more, sorry- I trust your judgement since everything else you post about has always been spot-on. I’ve never felt oppressed for being into kink but one person’s experience definitely doesn’t make light on the whole. 

Jessica, maybe you shouldn’t be so quick to believe me on this one, Char’s pretty up on stuff and is probably right. 

That’s kind of you.  I have been told by professionals and by (biological) family that I am mentally ill, indulging self-destructive impulses, acting out my self-loathing and self-hate, allowing dangerous levels of agency to my misanthropy, acting out in uncontrollable ways, violating the law, and am lucky not to be persecuted for felony assault, and furthermore that they are concerned for me, all in regards SPECIFICALLY to my consensual sex life.  That’s just the blatant stuff.  Then there are the (somewhat) subtle things such as the sadophobic messages projected throughout my life which taught me that I was wrong for my natural desires and would spend my life either as a rapist or celibate, because nobody could ever want what I had to share.

I do see the phenomenon from time to time of really cool, rad folks with awesome politics come up with “Oh by the way sadophobia doesn’t exist” and I always just want to fucking scream.
