Anonymous asked: People into kink also face the distinct possibility of medical discrimination, do they not? If someone had a kink-related injury it might be difficult for them to get treatment either because of prejudiced doctors or just fear of the stigma, plus the fact that safe sex from a kinky perspective is so taboo, that might count as discrimination as well. Medical discrimination is without a doubt institutional discrimination, so yeah I DEFINITELY agree with you that vanilla privilege is a thing.

I am not sure what you are trying to say.

I personally think people who practice kink, who are involved in their local community, who go to classes to learn how to do the complicated things they love, who have perhaps read a book or two on negotiation, who are risk aware and know what is meant by informed consent, very likely practice safe sex more often than vanillas.

But maybe you were trying to say something else entirely.
