You know what, I said I wasn’t going to reblog this, but I am. I am, because this shit keeps showing up on my dash and I am going to say my peace and anyone who wants to bitch at me can, but when I’m done, I am DONE.

1) You can claim all you want that this isn’t hate speech, but do NOT turn around and give me the argument of, “That’s not the intent” when you’ll turn right back around and bitch at anyone else for using that same goddamn argument. If you’re going to invalidate someone else’s “intent”, then the trans people don’t get any special pass on that and THEIR “intent” arguments are ALSO INVALID.

2) I’m very sure that if I ever got a tattoo that said “Die Trans Scum”, the trans community would be in a fucking uproar because “That’s hate speech!” In reference to my first point, if you’re using the logic that not all cis people are scum, but the ones who are should die, then it should hold that not all trans people are scum, but the ones who are should die. BUT, because it’s singling out scum who happen to be trans, I doubt that would still go over well with the “community” since it might “promote violence against trans people”. Hypocrisy for the win!

3) I’m going to copy/paste from a former blog I wrote, because, quite frankly, I don’t think enough people read it the first time.

I see all these “social justice” people talking about how Ron Paul* or -insert your bigot of choice here- should drop dead or die or be offed in some way, but turn right back around and lament all of these other people who’ve been killed or brutalized or have committed suicide because they happen to be the Minority of the Day. Who’s to say they were any better people than Ron Paul or -insert your bigot of choice here-? Who’s to say they were any more innocent or pure of heart or down right better people just because they weren’t a politician or public figure? Because I’m pretty sure that someone at some point said about them, “Man, so-and-so ought to go die/kill themselves.” When it comes down to it, it’s still a human life, no matter what sort of privilege a person may or may not have. It is HUMAN LIFE.

Just something to think about before you go wishing death on other people.

*Ron seems to be one of the most popular mentioned and the only name I can remember off the top of my head at 1:11am.

The same principle applies here. I don’t care what the fuck you identify as: wishing death or misfortune on a person who may have privilege over you, then turning around and talking about how fucking SAD and APPALLED that someone of your own minority status has been driven to suicide is HYPOCRITICAL IN THE LARGEST OF WAYS BECAUSE THAT IS STILL HUMAN LIFE.

4) I’ve seen people say, “Oh, the cis people SHOULD be scared when they see it”. I’m going to call bullshit on that too. Since when did ruling by fear EVER turn out well? Fear leads to resentment which leads to hatred and overall WILL NOT HELP YOUR CAUSE. I see all these people talking about how transmisogyny is rooted in the fear of a fucked-over gender binary. IF YOU KNOW IT’S ROOTED IN FEAR, THEN WHY PERPETUATE IT AND THUS, THE VIOLENCE?

Am I a fan of this person or their tattoo? No. Am I glad that Fetlife took the photos down? Honestly, I don’t care since Fetlife is a pretty shitty site to begin with (speaking from my own experiences with it). Do they have a right to take the photos down? YES THEY DO since it is THEIR right to determine what they find is and is not hate speech. All that bitching about this isn’t likely to change their minds. Calling them bigots isn’t going to change their minds. So guess what, people. All this bitching you’re doing about those terrible, “oppressive” mods means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. So instead of bitching and whining at the internet, why don’t you get out and do something constructive?

I’m going to go meditate while you set my blog on fire.
